During the Pre-Industrial Era, majority of the American population
was engaged in agricultural activities. But today's scenario is that only 2% of
the total American population is engaged in Agricultural activities.
So how are
sufficient quantities of food grown? Modern technology has allowed us to grow
more with the help of less manual labour. There are threshers. harvesters and
other machines which make the work easier, cheaper and therefore gives more
output. Not only in farming, but Amazon's accounting system is also controlled
by artificial intelligence and algorithms.
Think about the robo calls which can satisfy customer needs better
and replaces the need for human operators, just imagine how self driving cars
will effect the trucking and cabs industry. Jobs of millions of people will be
taken away. The CVS program can defeat any human player in 1 vs 1 game.
So anything that we humans do can be done by robots better cheaper and faster.
So then why will big multi nationals employ humans? So are Will robots take my job?
Maybe the answer to this is partially yes! A survey
conducted during 2015 in technology, automation and economic institutions that
will there be any jobs left during the robotic Era? 48% answered that economy will
fall and unemployment will rise while on the other hand, 52% answered that more
and more jobs will be created. These will be technical jobs and very highly paying. Every thing will get cheaper and humans do not have to work all day
long. Robots will serve them.
If Your job has very basic
tasks, there might be a chance that robots will enter you industry earlier and therefore you have to do some other job to survive. But this is not going
to happen too early. The jobs which will be created for low skilled workers
would not be much satisfying and will be low paid. As robots are good in
productivity, most of the manufacturing industries will employ robots for
production.
Only few manufacturing jobs will be left for humans. Either, humans
will not be paid for productivity but for their innovation. Robots are
not good at innovation. humans.
Either, humans will not be paid for productivity but for their
innovation. New jobs will be created in the research and development area where
robots will work along with
humans. It is pretty obvious that the low skilled people will be affected the most as there will be very less jobs left for them.
The future robots will be capable of doing tasks which are beyond human imagination. Some theorists think that a time will come when humans do not have to do any work or buy anything. Every thing will be provided by future robots. From washing your car to cooking food, we will be dependent on robots. Technology has both good and bad effects. The advancement of robots may lead robots outsmarting human intelligence which could a danger to human race. An Era will come when robots will start producing more advanced machines and this will continue until the end of human civilization. But still we cannot predict the future.
