Hello
Guys.. I have been using the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 as my primary phone
past three weeks and I would like to share my experience including the
pros and the cons so you can decide if this smartphone is the best suitable for
you or not. It is powered by Exynos 8895 chipset and snapdragon 835 octacore
processor, protected by gorilla glass and has 6 GB of RAM. It is supported by
MALI 671 MP20 GPU and has 64 GB of internal storage which can is further
expandable by installing an micro SD card. It is IP68 marked which makes this
phone complete water and dust resistant. The aspect ratio is 18:9.
With the
failure of galaxy NOTE 7, Samsung has decided to be on the safer side and the
NOTE 8 comes with 3300 mAH lithium polymer batter with dash charger
technology. Moving on to the camera, Samsung has finally come up with its
first dual camera setup with 12 MP dual rear camera f 1.7 and f 2.4 Aperture
which suits best with the segment and 8 MP front camera. It comes with a
fingerprint scanner which is placed at the back resting beside the camera and
with also has an iris and Face recognition scanner.
As
Usual you can select between the Google Assistant and The Bixby voice support .
I personally use Bixby as it manages the multitasking tasking very well. Note 8
comes with Android Nougat version and will receive the Oreo update by end of
October. Now lets start with the Pros and cons of this smartphone. The
screen is one of the best that you can get for $1000 dollar smartphone in the
market. The image quality is very sharp and shows you every single detail that
is possible, thanks to the infinity display. Samsung has done a very good job
in calibrating the auto-brightness. I didn't had to manually set-up the
brightness every time I went out in Sun. In-fact it is the brightest
screen in this variant.
Talking
about the built quality, it feels very premium while holding the phone it in
hand. One con is that this smartphone is very heavy and is makes your pocket
very heavy when keep the note 8 in it. The S- Pen makes the note series
different from other smartphones. You can create live messages via your S-pen
which feels pretty awesome. You can send heart shapes to your girlfriend which
in return can give you surprising returns. Just joking. The audio quality Via
the headphone jack and is not very good but just medium. If you are a
heavy user, this smartphone is made up for you.
The RAM
management has been done pretty well, adding this smartphone to the list of
most smooth devices ever build. To test the hardware, I opened all the
applications in the background and then played some games while listening some
music. Surprisingly there were no lag issues . Good Job Samsung. The battery
lasted long for a full working day but if you are a heavy gamer and love to
surf Youtube and Netflix, you might have to top it up in the evening. With the
fast charging support, the battery reaches the 100 percent mark in 1 hour 30
minutes which is much slower that one plus 5 and LG V30.
I was
pretty impressed by the camera. NOTE 8 has one of the best camera ever offered
in a smartphone. You can click pictures and record videos upto 4k quality.
The Smart stabilization works even with 4k recording. So you can record
high quality videos while walking even faster. You can click pictures in
Portrait Mode and the auto focus calibration is done very well. My experience
with the Samsung galaxy Note 8 was very nice. I would definitely recommend my
readers to buy the Note 8 if they have a crush on Android and want a value for
money smartphone.
